H βιοκαλλιέργεια για μένα δεν είναι απλώς μια συγκυρία ή ένας μοντέρνος τρόπος διατροφής αλλά στάση ζωής. Ξεκίνησα ως βιοκαταναλωτής και προχώρησα στη βιοκαλλιέργεια από την πεποίθηση ότι η φύση σε ανταμοίβει όταν της φέρεσαι φιλικά.

Για μένα η ποιότητα είναι σημαντική και ποιότητα με χημικά φυτοφάρμακα και λιπάσματα δεν νοείται.

Κύριο μέλημά μου είναι να προμηθεύω αυτούς που με εμπιστεύονται με ξηρούς καρπούς ΚΑΘΑΡΟΥΣ, χωρίς χημικές ουσίες

Organic farming for us is not just a matter of time or a trenty way of diet but a lifestyle. We started as bio-consumers and moved on bioculture from the belief that nature in rewards when you treat her friendly.For me quality is important. Our main concern is to provide PURE nuts , free of chemicals.

Α FEW WORDS

Organic agriculture is not that easy as it demands a lot of physical labor. However, my personal reward is twofold. Not only do I cultivate my fields in an environment free of chemicals but I l also offer high-quality products to consumers. The high levels of biodiversity in the fields contribute to the smooth and natural growth of almond trees providing high-quality nuts.

The first and most important practice is a careful pruning. Moreover, the practice of crop rotation by planting vetch, peas or broad beans between the almond trees leads to the enrichment of the soil with nitrogen and other valuable organic substances. Another practice is the spread of horse manure compost all over the field, as it constitutes a great source of soil nutrients. This manure is derived by horses that I own and take care of by myself. In addition, the underground irrigation system results in the reduction of water loss during watering and the protection of trees against different root diseases.

The product is 100% natural as biopesticides are not used to destroying insect pests. Pest control is made by collecting the infected almonds and carried them out of the field. The method of natural fertilization (minerals, horse manure) gives a lot of nutrients to the final product whilst preserves the product’s organoleptic properties on the highest level for longer period.

Environmental dimension
First of all, an underground irrigation system has been installed and pesticides has been replaced by natural fertilization (minerals, horse manure). My agricultural practices depend on the micro-climate of each area. Generally, I respect the natural growth and do what nature commands.

Economic dimension

The products are distributed in flea markets where only organic products are sold and also in social cooperative enterprises and other organic food stores in Greece and Europe

Social dimension
I prefer to have direct contact with the consumer. Visitors are always welcomed to show them around my fields, to learn about my agricultural practices and exchange experiences with each other as well.
